So while you are still enjoying the 2019-09 release, the Eclipse team works hard to improve your UI experience.
For example, the perspective switcher will look in the next release similar to the other toolbar entries, which removes several little UI bugs on various platforms.
Here is a screenshot how it looks like in 2019-09.
Here is a preview how it will look like in 2019-12.
Other nice small enhancements are that the filter icons will actually look like filter icons and not like… moving something to the side.
Also the Quick Access box has been replace with a more telling UI element called Find Actions and an icon.
We still in process of finding a good icon which actually looks like it is search related, so please take the current magic wand icon as a place holder.
Clicking it or using the Ctrl+3 will always use the centered dialog which takes away lots of bugs with the flickering inline dialog and removes
lots of duplicated code.
We also continuing our route to reduce text in our dialogs, so many dialogs will be faster to read.
Hopefully all good news to you.
And the great news is that these changes are just one of the things the team is working on.
The main effort is currently going into improving the interactive performance but that is worthy a separate blog post.
